I really loved the dymanics between characters here. Rodney being able to help was perfect (I read somewhere once that gifted people are around 10 times more likely to deal with serious depression) and his approach was spot-on in terms of character. I also thought you wrote John really well - he had a response that was practically the definition of friendship. Realistic dialogue and well, just nicely written. Had me all teary eyed at the end, there.
