We just had this conversation in the car - the iPad is pretty and useful but it's just a netbook with a virtual keyboard, if you think about it. And the netbook is cheaper and more functional, and if you use a PC you already know how to work it, and how to feed it information and hook it up and you can load it without having to use proprietary software and you can trust the battery life...(pant pant)...
