Here we go again

Hello, all.
Well, Monday I am heading to the field again. We start by having a lovely 4 am formation, which means I am getting up at 3 so that I can shower and make sure I have all my stuff. Then we get all our gear, including our rifles, and wait around until about 7, when the first convoy heads out. Then we put the site together, put in the shot, and probably by then it will be getting to be around 3 or 4 pm. We'll probably pull some gaurd, and I think I have night shift, so I won't sleep that first day. That's all right, though, as this insomnia makes me used to it.
We have a new 1st Sgt as of last Thursday, because our other one, well, quit. He went into the SGM's offic, got into a terrrible fight with him, and left, yelling, "I'm tired of this bullshit! I quit!"
And he did. Not even a week later they moved him to another company, and we have our new 1st Sgt seems pretty cool so far. I'm hoping he'll at least let us get more than 3 hours sleep each night. He already mentioned shower runs on the first day, which is more than we had the last time we went out. And I think he's going to let us bring cards and such with us, which is how the field is supposed to run. I know I'm bringing my LOTR book. This way, when I'm sitting up at 3 in the morning, I'll have something to keep me occupide.
Oh, well. It's only supposed to be a week, with us coming back around midnight on saturday. Or would that be early Sunday? Either way, I have a feeling its going to be a very, very long week, especially since I won't be near a computer for the whole time. I can already feel the withdrawls! Aggghhh!
