Diagnosis

Well, today I went to the TMC and finally got my MRI results. It appears that I have patella tendinitis, and that treatment for that usually last from about 4 to 7 months. So right now I am on a 3 month profile, and they gave me a wonderful knee brace. I went and did 5 miles on the bike in the gym, and even though my knee is killing me, I think the brace really helps. Now I'm just icing it to try and get the swelling down.

I hope your knee will be fine after the treatment!

I#m sorry I haven't been paying attention to your entries lately. College and all making me busy!

I hope things work out soon though :)

How will that affect your deployment prospects?

I think as of right now I am still deployable, but I can't run more than a quarter mile without my leg giving out on me, so I don't know. I just want the damn thing to get better, because now that I've had plenty time to think about it, I actually am looking forward to getting deployed, for the money and the exeperiance. Grrrrr.

So that's what it is! And treat-able, I hope? I hate to think of someone so young having a bad knee of her life. I hope now that it has been identified, that it can be cured.

Same here! I go in for physical therapy again on the 29th, and find out if there is anything else I can be doing to try and help the recover. If it doesn't improve, they mentioned that surgury may be needed, but I'm hoping that would be a last ditch effort.
*Sigh*
