I have to take Rodney back into the vet's.  His mouth is all swollen and he is having trouble eating his hard food.  I think he can manage the canned food, though I hate to give it to him because it makes his face swell up.  But I guess if it's between a swollen face and actually getting food into him, I'll for the swollen face.  My poor baby is certainly living up to his namesake.  Thank goodness I get paid today so I can afford the bill. 
Rodney, sweety, this is your Christmas present.

Thanks, sweety. The poor thing has pretty much no immune system, so he's always got sores on his mouth or something, but this is worse than usual. I love my little monster to bits, but I do worry about him.

So do I. I fed him some soft food tonight and it just kept dribbling out of his mouth. I have an appointment for Monday but if he gets worse I'll have to take him in tomorrow or Sunday.
