How about some poetry?

I found this when I went to grab one of my notebooks to swat a wasp.  I remember writing it?  Vaguely?  It's in my handwriting, at least, so I'm pretty sure it's mine from like, ten years ago.  I kind of impress myself every now and then.



To one who seeks
The desert solace
Which only loneliness
Can bring
With sandy steps
And howling wind
Wiping presence from
Our minds.
Seek not the path
But wander blindly
Following the hopeless
Journey that you brave.
To the stars find guidance.
To the moon a face
Which companionship
Will offer.
Look not for others
When the night
Wears on
And bones are tired
Look to yourself
And find the peace
Which only loneliness
Can bring.

I like that very much. I spent a lot of years camping and hiking in the desert, and it's a special place indeed.

It is! There's a certain feel to the desert, lonely, but peaceful. I love living here.

Lol! Thank you! I had completely forgotten about it. I think I have books of bad poetry I wrote when I was younger. Thankfully, most of it is lost. This one was a rare exception I think.
