Remember

To all of you out there, I just wanted to say, please remember our fallen tomorrow. Remember the reason we are fighting over in Iraq and Afgahnistan. Please remember those who have given, who still give, and those would give but have nothing left.
We truly are a small world. What effects one, effects all. Let us embrace tomorrow with sorrow and love, for our brothers and sisters. If any of you are interested, here is a weblink for a sight that I encourage all of you to visit. We need to do everything we can to make this world a little bit better, and I think helping our soldeirs is a great place to start.

How beautiful, Pip. And how small this world has truly become, as we make friends who live everywhere on the globe.

*hugs you tight*

I could never forget.
My cousin almost died over there a few weeks ago. We thought he was dead, but it turns out he's not. Thank the heavens.

I'm so glad to hear that. Where is he stationed at? I might know some people with him.

for some reason, I don't know. My dad does, I'll have to ask him.

The reason probably actually is my family is to worried about me getting freaked out about wherever he is.
They do that, it gets really annoying.

For some reason I dunno.
Probably cuz my family thinks I would get 'panicked/shocked/worried/insane' if I knew to many details.
They dont seem to believe that I've accepted that he's over there, and I'm starting to think they're in more shock than I am. It gets annoying how they do that.
I'll have to ask my dad.

do you know The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein?

and I want you to know that I hope you don't mind I think of you and your service often (and i really hope you don't mind my saying directly to you that I believe what I believe politically in part because I want the best for you and all of our soldiers. )

Thank you for heeding the call...and giving what you give, even though it must be really hard.

(just to be clear, the other part has to do with less-military issues...i think that sounded bad, sorry...)

Not at all, I'm flattered. Sometimes it is hard to remember why I am here, but then I watch the news. Or I remember 9/11, and remember why I joined. I don't think I have ever read the Giving Tree, but I do like Shel Silverstien.
Thank you for thinking of me. It means a lot.
