I don't think next season is going to be about them hunting each other or them splitting further apart. I think it's going to start with Sam coming to his senses and being terrified of what he almost did, and the two of them, Sam and Dean, trying to make things right.
I very much hope you're right, because I don't think I could take a whole season of the brothers at odds with each other.
