I keep a fat book in the car so I can grab it for doctor appointments, office-lunch reading, etc.

My favorite place to read is everywhere - home, bed, tub, bus, waiting room, waiting for people, outside, anywhere that I can flip a few pages!

Science fiction, fantasy-- yes; gothic, horror-- no
Also love to read "how-tos" crafting books and cookbooks. I will read cookbooks straight through like a novel.

My recliner. Also at the computer. And I love to take either a book or my Nook with me when I'm on my own, and go to an inexpensive restaurant.

I usually snack or eat when I read; especially if I'm alone (like when the DH is at work).

I always have something to read. I really love having my Nook to take with me to dr. appts. and so forth. I hate to sit around with nothing to read.
My Nook has almost all fanfic on it-- nice looooong multichapter stories mostly. But I read hardcopies still as well, though not much new fiction.

Mom says I started reading about 3-ish. I remember being in diapers and not being able to read yet, so I couldn't say for "as long as I can remember," but it was still pretty damned early.

That's a great idea! I try to bring my Kindle with me when I go places I know I have to wait, but I like the idea of an emergency book if I'm caught unaware!

Haa! Yes, same here! Although I do have a soft spot for the couch in front of a fire. Or outside on a warm sunny day. Or, well, just about anywhere, lol.

Ohhh, I love being able to bring my fanfic with me on my Kindle! I have some other books on there, but for the most part it's fanfic, which is great when waiting someplace boring.

Exactly! I got my KIndle in May, and there hasn't been a day yet that I haven't grabbed it at some point to read my fan fic. I can't tell you how much I've saved on Printer cartridges and paper now that I'm not printing them out to read. I think the printer's feeling abandoned!

Ohh, same here. I have a vague memory of running around in Hawaii, when I was 3 or 4, but my first memory of reading is when I was 4, and I read the Cat in the Hat for the first time by myself. So not my earliest memory, but a long time ago, lol!

Ohhhh, yes! Completely! My Kindle has mostly fanfic on it, and I have stacks and stacks of fanfic I had to print out before the e-readers came along.

I would be lost without my fanfic.

Yup! There's always a book in the back seat of my car. (There's also a book in progress next to every toilet in the house. Free reading time! hehe)
