Bad Piplover. Stop baiting the trolls.
Jun. 29th, 2012 05:50 pmThere's been a spate of trolls over on a fanfic blog. It would be rather hilarious if I didn't worry it's upsetting the authors.
For the most part, people over there are great. It's become a great community, and the authors have created amazing characters that seem very real and realistic. I think a big part of the fun of the blogs is the interaction between everyone.
But, as with any fandom, there's the self entitled brats who feel that things must be done their way or they'll throw a fit. And rather than mention things they would like to see change politely, or even as a suggestion, they throw a fit and then stomp their feet and swear everyone else are the bad guys. Sigh.
And I keep thinking I can leave rational comments and get through to them. I need to stop that. Bad Piplover.
I finally got fed up and told the latest one that since they couldn't even spell my name, or anyone else's, and their spelling was atrocious, I didn't give their opinion much credit. I know, I know, don't feed the trolls. I'll try to behave.
