Ok, so I have a paper due on Wednesday that has to written from a scholarly source. Not a problem, says I, who have written many, many papers from scholarly sources. I can write it the night before it's due and no problem, since I work best under pressure.

Only now I can't get the college library to work for me. I can't get to the articles I need! I have to have this paper written and shiny by Wed, with at least the first two pages of the article printed out. And I can't. Get. To. THEM! Ahhhhh!

Yes, I am panicking!!!! Did I mention I have to present this paper in front of the class? I know what I want to right, my arguments, everything I'm going to say, but if I can't get these fucking articles I'm so screwed!!!! OMG, I fucking hate my prof right now!

*Whimper*

*Wrings hands*

Yes, yes I am a nervous wreck! And to top it off, I managed, somehow, to get to the articles I needed earlier but when I went to print them out my printer ran out of ink, and now I have no clue how the hell I got to the articles in the first place!!

GAAHHHHHH!!!!!

calm, no freaking out. You know what you want to say. Start writing. Generalize, and start somthing on paper. Tomorrow, you can find another computer, or call the help line, or find a new printer, print what you need and refine using the source material. Breath!

Any chance of getting it from a different library?

*shares your school stress*

How long does this paper have to be? Once you find the article again, will you be able to download and save it to your harddrive? That's what I usally do, since my printer isn't actually set-up.

Are the scholarly sources you need available on a full-text database such as JSTOR? (that's a history one, but it's the example I know best). If so, you could use the college library to find them, and (web-based email is a blessing here) email them to yourself for printing at home, or print them at the library. That's the technique I used before I got a laptop. Now I just save them at the library to use at home.
