Good morning, everyone. Just woke up about five minutes ago to a giant bee buzzing quite angrily over my head. The dang thing actually chased me! I don't think I've jumped out of bed that fast in a long time! It took me a moment to get the courage to try and squash it, as there was not way I could force it back out the window.
Now I am watching Ninja Turtles, and guess what the main villain is? Giant wasps! I think the theme of today is giant annoying bugs. Hmmm, there may be a story in there somewhere...

If there's one thing the desert has a-plenty, it's giant annoying insects! I've spent a lot of time in Arizona, and in our own Anza Borrego desert, and I'm just amazed at how big they grow 'em.

And oh yes, a plot bunny! On the Quest, Boromir is startled by an insect he's never seen before (being from the south and all), and Pip tells him all about how much good that insect does and helps the big Man conquer his fear!

Sorry, it's just that everything says "hobbits" to me. How odd.

Same here! I love it! I can see it now, the giant man of Gondor afraid of a little spider (so what if I am terrified of them too) and little Pippin stands there gently playing with it while Borimir squirms in horror! Ohhh, the ideas are starting to flow.
