Just another day in the Army
Jul. 8th, 2004 03:33 pmWell, it was an interesting day. Since it was Sgt.'s time, we started work at 6:30 rather than 9, and since all we had to to day was finish preparing for the field, we got everything done by 830 and were released until 1. After we got back, I waited for about an hour and a half to dispatch a trailer. One trailer, and it took them an hour and a half. Sheesh. Then we had formation.
It started to rain, of course, as we were waiting to be released, just a slight drizzle that quickly turned into a downpour. That was actually quite fun, as I don't mind getting completely soaked after spending monsoon season in Korea. It was a bit cold, however, and I hate wet underwear.
But the really, really, really cool thing? I got my autographed photo of Sean Astin in the mail today! Squee! Sure I cheated and sent away for it from his websight, and sure it cost 30 dollars, but hey, it goes to a good cause, and I now have a signed autograph! Yayayayayay!
Anyway, that's about it for me, except that my new site on yahoo, PippinHealers, is doing wonderful, with over 125 members in just the first three days! Come check us out if you like, it's a blast!
Hugs
