Apparently the president of Outsidepride.com, a GARDENING company, sent out an email to all his customers on...get this...how despicable it was to see a show on TV (Cold Case) showing homosexual relationships. Yes, ladies and gentlemen. This man sent out an email to all his customers, asking them to write CBS in protest becuase of this horror.
Now, the question I want answered is this: What the hell does CBS have to do with gardening suplies?
If a person is a bigot, that's their right as an American citizen. If they want to worship their God a certain way, or say terrible things, that's also their right. But, honestly people, using your company email list to send out a letter of bigotry is beyond stupid. Not only has he insulted every person who has a homosexual family member or friend, but the GLBT community as well. That's not only bad business sense, it's downright suicidal to the business.
I'll be interested to find out just how far down the rabbit hole this man will fall.
The world is changing.  What once was acceptable, such as prejucide to black people and women, is changed forever.  What is acceptable now will change as well.  People have the right to express their beliefs and views, but to use a public forum that was never meant for such a thing is just rediculous.  Either way, if I ever get the insane urge to garden, I won't be using that company.

For anyoen interested, the link to the post that brought this to my attention is here, with the letter that was sent out and the person's response.
