I'm back!

Hello, all!

Well, sadly, my stay in England is over with. I'm back home and currently contemplating the pile of laundry I have to deal with.  Eep!  Oh, well.  

I had such a wonderful time, and met some amazing people!  I'm so glad I got to spend the time with my sister, and to explore London so much.  We pretty much were nonstop, and even though my knees were killing me, I wouldn't trade it for the world!

The cats are happy I'm home, and it will be very nice to sleep in my own bed tonight, but a big part of me is longing to be back in London.  I think it really brought home how much I don't want to keep my current job. It's not a horrible job or sucking my soul, so much as I don't think it's really right for me anymore. I'm burnt on dealing with people who feel entitled to things and blame me for not fulfilling that entitlement.  I'm tired of being "yelled" at and called names.  I don't want to deal with that for the next year or two years.

So I'm going to go to the local college tomorrow or Wednesday and look into a program they have, and look into starting over there.  I think it's a two year program, but if I do well, I'm almost guaranteed a job out at the research site. 

I've had my fun and my vacation, so now it's time for me to start looking forward.  I think it's a good thing, and I'm all the more grateful for my trip for making me realize just how burnt out I am.  

Anyway, just wanted to drop a note and let you know I'm back safely, and to post a few pictures. There will be more to follow as I upload them, but I don't want to overwhelm everyone.
