Hello, all!  Well, besides LJ being all buggered up, how is everyone?  Surviving the madness?

I've got my Christmas cards out, finally. Sorry if they arrive late!

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] shirebound[livejournal.com profile] enkiduts and [livejournal.com profile] elayna88 for the Christmas cards.  They brighten my whole flat!

I get paid tomorrow so I'm going to be running around like mad trying to get the stuff to do all the baking, not to mention the last minute Christmas gifts.  I'm only buying for one or two people, but I've had to wait until payday to get the majority of it done.  I still have 3 days until Christmas, right?  I'll be good.

Holding on to my sanity at work by the skin of my teeth. The less said the  better. But I'm grateful I have a job, no matter how  much I hate it, so I'm not going to complain right now. Only a month until England, anyway!  Yay!

My dad is out of hospital, again.  Hopefully this time he won't be going back in anytime soon.  At least he'll be home for the holiday, and able to spend it with his sisters, nieces and nephews.

Not really much else to say. It's been pretty boring, save for the usual craziness.  I'm trying to stay in the Christmas spirit, but was flattened by a bout of depression the other day after a "talk" with my boss.  I won't go into it, because it just depresses me more, but let me just say that it's all the motivation I need to work on becoming a certified genealogist and, at the very least, get a new job until I can get that going!  I think come the new year, I'll be hitting the pavement and sending out resumes left, right, and down the middle as soon as I get back from England.  I've seen a few positions that pay comparably, if not better, to what I'm making now that I think I would enjoy, and if nothing else, it will give me something to do other than glare at the computer.

I will say this, however. I do enjoy working from a home a lot, and will miss it when I get a new job.  It will be a challenge getting up and having to go into work, but I think it will be worth it to be not so stressed.

But enough of that, I said I wasn't going to complain, so sorry.

Happy holidays, everyone!  Stay safe!
