Con Crud... I has it.
Apparently over 2000 people got sick from the con this year. A very nasty virus that I've been lucky to mostly miss. Both myself and my manager at work were at the con, though, and both of us have the stuffy nose, cough, sneezing and general icky feeling of the crud. I think we managed to escape lightly.
I got my schedule. It's not THE most horrible thing ever, but it's pretty close. I'll have Sunday off, but that's about the only good thing. It's 10am to 9:30pm, Mon, Tue, Fri and Sat. Yuck!!
I'm hoping that I can switch with someone, but it's not looking too likely. Sigh. Just one more nail in the coffin for this job. I'm going in on Monday to talk to the Veterans guy at the local Worksource, and to talk to one of my professors about being a reference for a college I'm applying to. Fingers crossed that something comes of this!
Oh! And on another note, I sent in to have my disability reevaluated, and was informed that they still haven't determined yet if it changes, but that they realized they were paying me the wrong amount. So my payment I receive now is going up, and I got a check yesterday for over $1500 to make up the difference! Yay! That will go nicely towards paying off bills and a nest egg for when I quit.
Anyway, I've missed about 6 hours of work this week, due to the crud, and I'm hoping I get over it soon. I'm just thankful I didn't get the nasty, nasty virus.
