Aug. 20th, 2013 03:45 pmI'm sorry I haven't been around much. Not a whole lot is happening, and I don't want to just complain all the time. I figure silence is better than the same old "poor me." For everybody!
But today... Today I nearly walked off the job. I was mentally figuring out how much stuff I have and if I would need more than one load. In the end I didn't do anything, but I did send a letter to the big boss, and told him point blank that if my supervisor really doesn't think I can do the job, and he agrees, than he should just let me go. Because I'm sick of being treated like I don't know what I'm doing.
He ended up pulling me aside five minutes before I was set to leave for the day, to get my side of the story. And I told him, I'm tired of it. I can tell he doesn't want me to leave, mostly because he doesn't want to train someone new, but he still isn't listening to what I'm saying. And I guess he thinks it's perfectly all right to beret an employee in front of the patients, because when I brought that up, he pretty much just shrugged and said he would talk to my boss.
So, yeah. Almost quit, but didn't. I know it's better this way, but still. It was very, very tempting.
In other news, I'm trying to get my writing mojo back. I'm taking a class on Monday's called Women's Creativity, and I'm hoping it helps me get the words flowing again. We had fun last night drawing things and going over stuff, and it's such a small class, only 5 or 6 people, and all women, so I feel really comfortable.
I've taken a few other classes with the group, and I always have a good time. So, hopefully, there may be some new fanfic in the future. I want to get back into writing hobbits, and more Sherlock Holmes.
That's basically all that's been happening with me lately. Take care everyone, and if you could send some good thoughts my way towards a new job I would appreciate it. I've had a few nibbles, but no bites yet. *Fingers crossed for something soon*
