Bad news comes in threes

My dad is in hospital.  My cousin called me at work today to let me know. I left right after, and called the hospital.  I was able to speak with him for a few minutes, but he was pretty dopy and out of it.  After that I called my aunt to find out what was going on.

She initially told me he was getting better and was doing all right, that he has congestive heart failure, but they have him on meds to get rid of the water in his lungs.  She told me he was just resting and gathering his strength so he could be discharged and there wasn't a reason to come down.

Then she called and hour later and told me I have to come down.  Now.

His liver is failing, and the doctor told her he needs his kids nearby. Just in case.

So I'm trying to find a ticket for Sunday from WA to Florida for less than $1000.  My mom is helping pay for it, since I don't have that much money set aside.

I'm trying to find out if my brother is going to come down or not, but he just lost his job yesterday, and I don't know if he can afford it either.

I'm just overwhelmed right now and really wanting to see my daddy, even if just one more time.

Any good thoughts or prayers would be very, very welcome.
