I went to the doctor yesterday.  It was a good appointment and I hope some answers come out of it.  Apparently I'm healthy as a horse, lol, except for my stomach.  That, he thinks, might be a combination of things.

Something to do with hormones and my reproductive system (yet another reason I wish I could just get rid of the damn thing) and the possibility of one thing leading to another and an endless cycle.  The doc thinks there's a chance, a small chance, it might be Polycystic Fibrosis or something similar with my insides.  Sheesh.  I knew there was a reason I hated my periods, but this just takes the cake!

Anyway, one possibility is that the hormonal changes that come with periods triggers migraines of the stomach, something my sister suffers from.  The migraines cause more stress, which leads to more fluctuating hormones, and the cycle goes on and on.  So I'm getting a pelvic ultrasound sometime this month to see if there's anything abnormal or to keep an eye on.

Anyway, other than that, I'm doing good.  Chores today, as it's my Sunday, and just relaxing.  Working a little more on my story, which I think is getting close to almost done.  Yay!  Then I can post it.  Wow, that's going to be a chore.  I think it's probably going to be about 15 parts when it's posted, if not more.  And the formatting.... Eek.  If I could I would post it in one lump sum, but I have no idea where I could do that at, so oh, well.  It will be an adventure!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Migraines of the stomach! I'd never heard of that before. At least you're on your way to find out exactly what's going on.

I hadn't either, until my friend brought it up. And then I mentioned it my sister, who totally surprised me when she told me she got them as well. But at least if that's the case, there's a reason and way to fix it, lol!

Glad to hear you're getting somewhere with figuring out what's going wrong! Here's hoping it all gets cleared up!

As for your fic, well. Will it come in at under 500000 characters? Because you can post it in one piece at AO3 if it will (and certainly in less pieces than LJ would allow even if it won't) and then simply link it back. And I have an invite going begging there, if you're interested.

Glad you're figuring things out, bit by bit.

I've never heard a doctor other than mine use the phrase "stomach migraines" - I get allergic ones. Huh...

Ohhh, AO3! I don't really know anything about it, such as how to even go about joining or how I would post, but I would love you forever if the invite is still on offer. I think the story will probably be about 60000 or 65000 by the time I'm done.

Invite sent :) - you'll find it's shockingly easy to use - the only thing that takes a bit of 'getting the hang of' is any extra tags you might want to add, because there are so many that you really need to know what you intend.

After that, you'd just post it to there in either the handy HTML or Rich Text editor, and then grab the link and crosspost to LiveJournal if you like. Simple as that.

Apparently stomach migraines aren't that common in adults, but there's a genetic thing or something, because my sister has them, too. The human body, it has a warped sense of humor.

Thanks so much! If I have trouble I'll come crying to you, lol. Seriously, I'm not very technical savvy! But this makes me feel so much better. Thank you!

Apparently, yeah. My mom taught me Lamaze breathing when I was around 4 or 5 so I could get through that kind of reaction. (which, by the way, made birth-prep class sort of boring during that part...)
