piploverTalked to Mom today about England, and it turns out that brother and his fiance are going to be able to go after all. Yay! Mom is also going to be able to head over there, so it's just me that's the possible odd one out. Boo!
I've figured out a way to possibly get the money, though I'm not going to depend on it. I have to figure some things out first. Still, if it works out, I will have more than enough to buy the ticket and have money left over to spend. Fingers crossed! Now all I have to find out is if the blackout dates will have been lifted by then and if not, if I can get a leave of absence. I won't be paid for it, but oh, well. Some things are more important than money, and I'll have enough saved up I'll be OK.
Speaking of work, I got my new shift. 5:45 to 2:45, Sat- Wed. I love the hours, not so happy about the days. I don't mind working a Sat or a Sun, but not both together. I would like to have one weekend day off. Sigh. Oh, well. We'll see if I can get it changed, and if I can't, it's not too bad. At least I got the hours I wanted!
Although it will be a bit of a shock going from starting work at one 1 to 5:45 in the morning. I'll have to get used to getting up at 5:15 again.
Have some thinky thoughts to share later. Trying to get my mind in order about some things, not sure how to word it.
