Back to the grind... supposedly
Dec. 26th, 2012 10:14 amI had a lovely Christmas yesterday. Went over to Mom's around 9:30 for family breakfast and present opening. I got some great presents, and at around 10 it started to snow.
By the time we went to brother's fiance's mom's house for Christmas dinner there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground. It was like a postcard.
After, we went back to Mom's and hot tubed for about an hour, then watched A Christmas Story.
Unfortunately, by this time I had started to develop a migraine. I was in bed early, after taking my migraine meds, but when I woke up for work I still dizzy and had wonky vision.
I thought if I could take another dose of the meds it would help, so called in to tell them I would try to come in around 12, but I'm not so sure I'll be able to. My vision is still wonky. Everything is out of focus, even with my glasses, and I'm dizzy and have no balance. Oh, migraines, you're so fun. Snort.
Much as I hate to admit defeat, I think I may have to stay home until the rest of the migraine fades. I don't think I would be too good at work, walking into things and not being able to focus properly. I just hope they don't think I'm making it up to get an extra day of holiday.
Anyway, sorry, rambling. I'm gonna go take a shower and see how I feel after that. If I'm still wonky, then calling it in, and will spend the day on the couch or in bed, watching mindless TV or trying to sleep some more.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and your day is a good one!
