The bad and the good

piploverWell, just found out today that November is almost a deffinate timeframe for when we deploy. And not to Baghdad. Oh, no. That would have been nice. No, apparently we are going to Falluja. You know, the place where all those nice people are dying every day? Yeah, that's what I said too.
Oh, well. I guess it could be worse. We could be going in the middle of July.
As to the good, I just had a rather comical experiance. I had a friend over talking to me and before he left, we were joking around and he called me a dirty word in Russian. I guess he didn't realize that I speak Russian, because I asked him to repeat it, and he did, laughing, and then when I said, "You just called me a Bitch!" his reaction was to turn pale, yelp, "You know Russian?" and run from the room.
Of course, it was all in fun, and we both got a laugh out of it. And he is being a sweetheart and washing my BDUs tonight so I can have a clean uniform tomorrow, as I was whining that I don't to do laundry tonight. I'm so very tired, and already in my pjs. He is spoiling me rotten, and for that I think I shall have to make him cookies or something. And the best part is, I don't have to worry at all about him hitting on me, as he respects my relationship with my fiance very much. It's nice to have friends!
