It's a full moon, I can tell
Sep. 19th, 2013 11:38 amGot up this morning and was all ready to head to work when I heard a faint noise in the bathroom. Feeling slight dread, I made my way slowly over there and landed in a puddle. The toilet had overflowed, for no apparent reason.
So after frantically calling work and telling them I'd be a bit late, I threw all the towels I own on the floor, picked up the rugs that were there and threw them into the tub, then put the now drenched towels on them. Then I headed into work, and was only 20 minutes late.
I did put in a work order to my landlord, which I figured wouldn't be seen for a few hours, as that's the going rate for their reactions. Imagine my surprise when I came home early ( I only worked 2 hours because "OMG BATHROOM FLOODED" kept repeating in my brain) and found the maintenance guy had already been in. And locked me out.
So off to the landlord's office again, where I explained the situation. And where she scolded me for having mold on the ceiling and a dirty litter box. Umm... I've scrubbed the ceiling to get rid of that stuff and it just keeps coming back. I finally gave up. The litter box did need to be cleaned, but it had only been a day or so.
I was more worried about the SOAKING TOWELS AND RUGS IN MY BATHTUB! Which I told her, because eww! She gave me some quarters so I could wash them. Wow. I was so thrilled.
Anyway, ever since I've got home I've been scrubbing and cleaning. I had to buy a mop because I don't own one, and so far I've scrubbed all the floors, scrubbed the bathtub and sink, put the towels and rugs in the laundry, and am just waiting for those to be done so I can put them away. I also cleaned the litter box and took out the trash.
It's not even noon and I'm exhausted.
