piploverI'm sorry it's been so long since my last post. I'm going to try and post more, and to reply to more of your posts. I do read all your posts, honestly. I just don't always have the brain power or the energy to respond. I'm going to change that, though. *Hugs you all*
Anyway, I'm home from work early due to a massive asthma attack. Not the way I wanted to spend the day, but it could have been worse. I work in a surgery center, and there were three nurses and a doctor mother henning me, lol, so it wasn't too bad. But even after my inhaler and some stuff they gave me, I didn't want to risk setting it off again.
One of the patients had doused herself in perfume, as had her family member. So much so that just having them in the lobby was having me coughing and wheezing. When they were taken back to the surgery I was better, but then I had to run back there and started up all over again. That was when my boss told me to get outside to get some air.
After about 30 minutes in the break room, when I could breath again and wasn't coughing so much, they let me go home. There was no way I would be able to be around the waiting room if one of them was in there.
So, I'm home. I'm going to shower in a few minutes, to try and get the perfume smell off me, and hopefully open my lungs a bit. Benedryl has been taken, so I'm sure I'll be sleepy for a bit.
I haven't had an asthma attack this bad in forever, so I guess I was do one. It could be worse, I suppose. Oh, well.
