Cold and wet today

piploverIt was a long day today. It started raining a little before lunch, and we ended up hiding in the cabs of the hummers until the worst of it passed. Then we were out once more, taking oil and transmission fluid samples. Can you believe it took us all day to get 20 samples? We had to tramp all over the motor pool trying to find the different vehicles, since a lot of the trailers and generators are being repared.
We did have fun, though, trying to stay dry and out of the wind, and at the same time get the job done. I don't mind the rain so much once I get completely soaked, but its getting soaked that gets me.
*shiver*
Anyway, am sitting here in a warm bathrobe and a delicious cup of hot tea. I think I'll take my sleeping pill tonight, as I only got about 3 hours sleep last night, and will be driving tomorrow.
Oh, well. It could be worse. It could be cold and rainy!

Date: 2004-06-23 10:36 am (UTC)I have a question what on earth is the point of hummers in the mountains? such as santa cruz, or in the cities? Or even in the suburbs? I mean if they're for military that's for one thing...but besides that....
