Yay! Yippy! I was just promoted to specialist! I got promoted in front of the company, and that was a little nerwracking, but I am sooo happy, now! Yippy!

It's a really nice jump in pay. I was mad because I wanted to get pinned at the Bayonet Course last summer, but they didn't want to do it there because you aren't supposed to go through the course with Pin-On Rank.

My Squad Leader has mentioned me going to the board more often recently. I am hopeful I can at least get my E4(P) or better yet COrporal before I head out to Huachuca to reclass. It's more fun as an NCO.

And the pay is a whole lot better, too. However,after seeing how NCOs are treated here, I think I'll hold onto my sham sheild for a little while and enjoy the ride. Whew, it's been a long time coming. I was supposed to get it in October, while still in Korea, but because my extension didn't go through I had to wait for my two year mark. But I made it, after a harrowing few months of broken foot and other such nastiness, and yay! It finally paid off. Now I can collapse.
