Read today that they are proposing to offer Tricare to any service member medically discharged from 2001 on. I really hope that this goes through, because if it does then I won't have to worry about finding insurance that won't cost me an arm and a leg. I go through the VA now for my medications and any problems I have, but the clinic is over an hour away, and it makes getting an appointment very hard. If I had Tricare I could see a doctor down here and not have to worry about my meds running out before I can get seen again.
Cross your fingers that this goes through, because there's a lot of people out there in the same boat as me, many of them much worse off. As one person put it in his speech to Congress, "If we can spend billions and billions of dollars putting young men and women in harms way, then we should spend at least as much getting them back to some semblance of life."
Amen to that!
