I'm still alive!!

Hello, everyone!  Wow, it's been a while since I last posted.  University has finished for the summer, so I have a whole month free except for work, yay!  This is a good thing as I have become involved with putting together an event for Seven Straight Nights.  This is an event that takes place nationwide starting the week of September 14.  Seven nights of vigils around the nation where straight people show their support for the gay community by holding vigils.  I was put in charge of the event for my area, don't ask me how as I'm still scratching my head, so I have to organize the press releases and donations and all that fun stuff.  Eep! 

But I am looking forward to it, and hopefully I won't totally blow it.  Wish me luck! 

As to other news, well, not much going on.  I am currently looking for a job for when I graduate in December, putting my application out there and hoping someone will bite.  I'm getting a bit nervous now that the graduation date is getting so close.  Still no sign of a love life, but I figure that once I actually settle down a bit and get a more permanent job something might show up. 

And now, I spam you all!  Not dial-up friendly, sorry.  These are just some pictures of my apartment.  I rearranged the furniture yesterday and am rather proud of how it turned out.  Also, I baked a pie today, so I figured I would throw that in, too, as I am inordinately pleased with how well it turned out.  Enjoy!

Glad you have a break - I've got three weeks total for mine, and am filling it with family and music.

Thanks! I hope I can manage to pull the project together. I'm not very good at organizing, and it's just me trying to get everything set up, so I'm starting to feel like a chicken with its head cut off, lol!

Ahhh, music and family, no better way to spend a vacation!

The colors in your apartment are lovely! I think I'd like it there as much as the kitties obviously do.

Hehehe, thank you, sweetie! I like the colors, too. Most of my furniture is hand-me-down, but somehow it all matches!

LOL! Actually, it usually isn't that clean, but my mom came over to help me change the furniture about, and she ended up cleaning despite my best efforts to stop her. Although, I must admit, I frantically scrubbed the countertops and stove down so she wouldn't give me the mother look.
