My grandmother had that exact same carpet from 1965 to 1990. We could never tell when we'd spilled something on it.

When I rented the apartment, the landlady specifically gave me this one because of the carpet. I have two cats, and she was worried. I have to admit, though, you really can't tell if you spill anything or if the cats make a mess. It took me two days to realize one of the cats had had an accident. 0_o

I have to ask - who's your icon? Is it really David Hewlett dressed as a fairy or is that my own feverish brain?

Ahahahaha! It is indeed David Hewlett, from his movie Where the Heart Is. Uma Thurman is in it, and there's a great shot of him in that costume, walking down the hall, and his ass is just hanging out! Great movie.

That he has indeed, although this one was actually pretty good. The reason he's in the costume is because he was modeling for his painter sister. I think it was probably one of his first movies.

Did his sister play his sister? Because that seems to be a running theme for him.

No, she was an older actress. I don't think his sister was acting at that point, and he was pretty young, like 16 or 17 I think.
