I need a new body.
Apr. 29th, 2009 08:29 pmI started taking a Kung Fu class a few weeks ago, and I'm really enjoying it. The people are really nice, the instructors cool. And it's a really small class, so I don't feel like a total idiot. However, tonight was only my third class and I had to skip out early because I'm pretty sure I tore something in my shoulder a few days ago.
I've done something similar, only to the opposite shoulder, when I was in Korea. Since the base I was stationed at was so small they didn't even have an x-ray machine, the closest guess the doctor could come up with was that I had torn something. It feels the same, so I'm going on that assumption. I'm still going to try and get it looked at, but last time all they did was put it in a sling for a few days and gave me pain pills. Well, I already have vicoden for my knee and back, so that pain pills are covered, and I don't think I need a sling.
My instructor looked at me like I was an idiot for even going to class, but I've been here before and was a lot more physical at the time. I know how far I can push myself, but it's a total pain. And I found out I don't even have any icy/hot, so I'm just going to sit with an ice bag on it, take some vicoden, and then take a hot bath and hope the combination works.
I swear, if it's not one body part, it's another!
