Urgh - part 2

I came home from work early today because I honestly thought I might pass out at work, and wouldn't that have been fun? My hands were shaking, I was sweating, and I felt dizzy and sick. No fun.
I feel a little bad about leaving, since the phones were just ringing off the hook, and I know what some of my family thinks of my decision.
But the thing is, I've toughed it out. I had walking pneumonia at Basic that went untreated for three weeks and ended up with me having asthma. I tore my shoulder and put off going to the doctor so I could pass a PT test. I walked two and half miles on a broken foot so I could get my Spc.
I've been there. And I don't want to go through that again. So I took the easy way out today and told my boss that if it were possible I wanted to go home so I could pass out in peace. She agree I looked like shit and let me go, no points. So yay for personal time!
I feel a little better now that I've had something really sweet. I didn't think it was my blood sugar, since I had eaten just a couple hours before, and wasn't doing anything more strenuous than sitting at the desk, but I don't know.
I am going to take it easy today, take a nap, and see how I feel. I have Tue and Wed off, so I'm not worried about having to call in sick. I may hate toughing it out, but I can do it with the best of them when I have to.
Anyway, sorry I haven't been around the past few days. It seems the days I work I have just enough energy to come home, eat dinner, feed the cats, cruise LJ and go to bed.
Ok, I'm going to go take a nap. Talk to you all later, and thanks for letting me grumble a bit.

Date: 2009-06-23 03:32 am (UTC)My boss is pretty cool, and she was pretty sick last week, so she could sympathise. She's also a fellow geek, so we were drooling over Aragorn the other day and LoTR.
I really hate that point system. If I didn't have any unpaid time off, I would have had to stay, because I can't afford any more points. Yuck.
