Made potatoes with onions and sausage tonight.  Not the best thing to eat when you're trying to lose weight, but every now and then my Polish side breaks through and I have to eat something like that.  Hmmm, it was yummy.  Very bland, which was good because my tummy is still not great, but filling.  I had half a bowl and I'm stuffed.  

Don't know if I mentioned this, but my mom bought me several pieces of furniture at an estate sale.  I now have a coffee table, a dining room table, a dresser for the living room, and a desk for the hallway.  I have table cloths and place mats for the dining table and a runner for the desk. My apartment is really starting to look like some place an adult would live! 

Except for the Star Wars posters on the wall and my action figures dotted all about.  :P

That sounds yummy.

Yay for furniture! I need a few more things, and usually try to find stuff at thrift stores. I should get your mom out here to help me.

Hahaha, most of my furniture is from thrift stores or given to me by family. I think the only items I actually bought were my clothes dresser, a tall mirror, a wine rack, and my computer desk. All of which I acquired for under 500$.

I love shopping at thrift stores, although there are some things I just can't buy there. The selection in my town is very...umm, ratty. Some clothes are all right, but most of them look like they belong in the garbage.

How nice with the furniture. :) And don't lose the posters and action figures, it's part of who you are. Who says we have to be completely grown up all the time, lol?

My Polish side does that too - that itty bitty babushka-like Polish lady in there whacks my brain with a wooden spoon and demands a ration of meat-and-potatoes, preferably with some vinegar in it somewhere. :-D

I seriously <3 estate sales, tons of stuff in my house from those. Hoorah on the new goodies!

Oh, yes, that little babushka definitely whacks me every now and then, sounding suspiciously like my grandma.

I love estate sales and good will. Seriously, most of my furniture is well worn and loved.
