Well, today was a very long day. It began at 5 in the morning, when I had to get up for a brigade run of 4 miles. Then a urinalysis. Yes, the day just kept getting better and better. I missed half of my lunch do to an annoying sgt, and then we were stuck working until 7 tonight. All in all, I ended up with a very bad sunburn on my face and neck, and a very strong urge to take a long bubble bath and then go to sleep. I guess it could be worse, though. My shoulders aren't sunburned, and I'm sure that I will get a few freckles from the burn on my nose. And tomorrow will hopefully make it worth it.
It seems that our higher ups have finally realized that we are getting deployed in 5 months, and that it may be a good time to start on convoy training. So tomorrow we get to go on a 100 mile convoy. I always enjoy driving down the highway in the military vehicles. Call me silly, but I enjoy seeing the looks on little kids faces when they see us pass, and remember myself at that age.
So, off to bed, and then up again early, but for a happier day, I hope. And hopefully, no one will break down this time around. Good night, all!
