Would anyone of my English friends be willing to put up a Piplover for a night or two?  I promise I won't make a mess or eat all your food.  My sister has decided she has to go on a trip to Tel Aviv on the 16th, so I'll need somewhere to stay for the last day I'm over there.

Yes, she is passive aggressive, and totally screwing with me because I decided not to go to Poland.  This is my life.

Oh hon. :( I'm sorry. Hope you can make arrangements with a flister. Perhaps a little fannish fun before heading home. ;)

I know. I'm just hoping we don't end up strangling each other! Hopefully by the time I get there we'll be able to just enjoy each other. And hopefully a fannish person will be able to hang out with me and keep me company, lol.

*laughs* I completely understand, having two sisters of my own. ;) I'll cross my fingers there are no strangling incidents while you're there. *grins*

I'm sorry to hear about this hassle, and equally sorry that I can't help out (tiny, full house with no floor space I'm afraid). Where are you flying out from? Perhaps a travel lodge or something similar would work for one night (and if I'm around I could keep you company for fannish fun!)

That's all right, hon. I'm flying out of Heathrow on Sunday the 17th. If you're not busy, maybe we could hang out and squee fannishly? Oh, if I can get a room somewhere, we can have our own little moot with junk food and Sherlock!

This is a bit of an 'out there' sort of idea, but if you could get to Woking then there is a train from there that goes straight to Heathrow. Is your flight early on Sunday? If not, then there are a few cheap hotels in Woking, v. close to the train station, that we could go to and you could get to Heathrow from Woking station on Sunday. Woking is easy for me to get to, and I could show you round the town (it has links with 'The War of the Worlds' so that's pretty cool) :)

Anyway, just an idea. No probs if that's not for you but I thought I'd make the suggestion!

Oh, that would be brilliant! My plane leaves at 2 something on Sunday, so I would have a bit of the morning, and I don't think I would have any trouble getting to Woking. Thanks! Yay! Ok, now I'm excited again!

Awesome! You'd have to leave Woking relatively early in the morning on the Sunday then, wouldn't you? I'll have to ask someone at some point in case trains aren't running on the Sunday (they replace the trains with bus services instead I think). I know that there is definitely a bus service especially for travel from Woking to Heathrow anway. Which terminal are you flying from?

If we don't manage to spend any fannish time on the Sunday, we could always spend Saturday afternoon being fannish instead!

Do you have any preferences for places to stay btw? I did a little bit of research and this place is near to the station and town centre (and pretty good value too!): http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/gb/en/woking/xwowk/hoteldetail

Oh, that looks brilliant! That's perfect! I think it would be great fun to be fannish all Saturday afternoon! My flight leaves at 2:25, so I'm not sure what time I would have to leave Sunday morning, though I'm thinking probably a bit early.

Excellent! Once we've finalised things I can book the hotel and then, if it's okay with you, could you pay your half when we meet? I'll need to book it quite soon though as there's an offer on for £52 for a twin room, but that's only available if booking in advance. Is that an ok price for you?

The hotel check-in time is 2pm, so that leaves us the afternoon and evening to explore the area, but I think you'd need to leave quite early Sunday morning.

I swear, it's like herding cats when dealing with my sister. She told me that unless you would like to stay over with me in the hotel, I could just go back to her flat, which I guess is about 25 minutes away. So I guess that we can just meet up and see the sights, and then after we can both head home? Unless you want to do a slumber party, in which case, yes! Book the hotel and I will totally pay you back when we meet up!

*Head desk*

Sorry for all the going back and forth.

Where do you mean by meeting up?

Don't worry about the hotel. To be honest, I've just had a look at my bank balance and I'm not too sure if I would have been able to afford it anyway. (I'm running out of money faster than I had hoped!)

We can meet up in Woking or London, whichever one you would like. My sister said her flat is about 25 minutes away from Woking, so even if we stay late, I can still go back to her flat for the night. Either way works for me!

If it's okay with you, Woking would be easier for me. I'm afraid it's not the most exciting of towns (it's basically just a town centre, so lots of shops!) but we could always have a good natter over lunch or something! :)

That sounds lovely! My sister is decidedly unfannish, so it will be wonderful to natter with someone who understand my Holmes obsession, lol! How do you feel about lunch and then wandering around, and then dinner? I'm not terribly exciting, but I figure we can shop and natter!

Also, I have found another hotel, which is actually in the town centre, rather than a little bit of a walk away, but it is more expensive and has mixed reviews (it's attached to a nightclub and is in a road where there's quite a lot of nightlife!)

How are you with walking? I walk everywhere so I just took for granted that you'd be okay with that too (I've done this a few times when I've had friends round and failed to mention that the walk into town is half an hour, for example!), but do let me know if I'm being presumptious...regarding anything, btw. I'm just getting excited :)

Oh, no, that other hotel is perfect! And I'm perfectly fine with walking! I think a little off the beaten path is great, especially as it give us more time to talk Sherlock Holmes! I'm really getting excited now!

Excellent :) After looking in a little more detail, I've discovered that the hotel is not as far away from the town as it looks on the map, so it's not too long a trek at all. It will give you a chance to see some of the smaller streets of the town though, which is reckon are quite interesting :)

I also found this link! What do you think? Any of those worth looking into? http://www.hotels.uk.com/uk/Surrey/Woking-hotels.htm

Most of these hotels aren't actually in the town, so we may have trouble getting to and from them. Thanks for the link though!
