Hello!
My sister and I haven't killed each other, so yay! This vacaction is going very well, lol. Walked all over London and seen several of the sights, though my knees are not happy with me. I almost went to the A&E the other day because of them, but figured I would just suck it up until I got home. I'm sure the medical facitlies are fascinating, but I don't really want to see them on my vacation.
I am meeting up with
nodbear tomorrow, so I'm very much looking forward to that, and then on Firday with
rivier , if she still wants to put up with me! My sister and I had a miscommunication issue and she was about to throttle me, but it seems to have passed. Rivier, I'll contact you today!
And on Saturday I'm meeting up with
glorfinniel for tea and shopping and fangirl squeeing. Hard to believe that my time is halfway over, but I've been trying to fit in as much as is humanly possible.
Yesterday went to the Sherlock Holmes museum, and then to Abby Road to see where the Beatles recorded. Then it was back home for a quick stop and then out for some shopping. I've bought two skirts, a one piece, a blouse, and a scarf. Not to mention all the little souvenier stuff. I'm still in budget, though, so yay!
Also been eating in some great pubs. I think I want to try to eat at the Sherlock Holmes today or tomorrow, it just depends on if I can find my way. I seriously have no sense of direction, and since my sister is leaving me to fend for myself today, it will pretty much be a miracle if I don't end up lost in the middle of nowhere. Wish me luck!
I haven't been able to get on the computer much, as my sister only has her one laptop and guards it like a ravenous wolf guards the last of the fresh meat. The only reason I'm on it now is because she's at an appointment. So if anything big has happened, I'm sorry I haven't commented. I'm going to have soooo much to read when I get back! And trust me, I'm going to read it all.
Anyway, I hope you are all doing well. Take care, and I'll respond to comments at the next chance I have, which may not be until I get stateside. Sorry!
Love you all!

Date: 2011-04-12 11:26 am (UTC)If you do manage to read this before Saturday...I know this sounds really crazy and morbid but there's a huge Victorian cemetary one stop down from Woking and it's got a huge amount of history. If the weather's nice it might be a nice place to visit...what do you think? No worries if you're not interested but it may be an idea if you're all shopped out by then! :)

Date: 2011-04-13 09:44 pm (UTC)The cemetary sounds wonderful! I love looking at old cemeteries! I can't wait to see you on Saturday!
My knees are still really bothering me, but I think I can just suck it up until I'm back home. As much of a pain as it is, I don't think the doctors could really do anything for me, and there's just so much to do!
See you Saturday!

Date: 2011-04-15 04:55 pm (UTC)I'm having a lot of trouble with my back at the moment, so I thought I'd better warn you in advance that we may need to take regular breaks to sit down for a few minutes. Sorry to be such a pain, but I hope to travel very very light in the hopes that not having much to carry will help with it. I'm still very much up for everything we want to do tomorrow (cemetery included!), but I thought I'd better warn you that if I slow down my pace at all it isn't due to lack of enthusiasm.
And speaking of enthusiasm...yay! I can't believe we're finally going to meet again! See you tomorrow at 11! :D

Date: 2011-04-15 09:14 pm (UTC)Not a problem to go slow, I'll be hobbling along right with you! I will have to head back about half 5 or 6, my sister wants to do something for my last night, but that should still give us plenty of time to wander, shop, and squee over various fandoms!
By the way, I don't have your phone number, would you mind emailing me? Just in case somethng happens? This morning I ended up missing my train by 1 minute and was an hour late to meet up with Rivier. I don't think the same thing will happen, but you never know!
I can't wait to see you!
