This is why I don't have kids!

I'm helping to watch my mom's pug while she's out of town, and managed to lose her today while I was watering the flowers.  Dear Gods, I almost had a heart attack!  I spent 30 minutes walking around, calling her name, clapping my hands and generally looking like an idiot.  All I could think about was that of course, of course she would get lost!  

When I finally wandered back from looking for her at the park she was sitting by the door, innocent as could be.

This is why I don't have kids!  I would lose them, or they would wander off and I wouldn't notice until it was too late.  Sheesh.

I was trying very hard not to panic and not succeeding, lol! I was seriously about to start calling for help and trying to figure out how to tell my mom I lost her dog when I saw her, sitting all innocent. Whew!
