Hello, all!

I hope you all had a good weekend and your week isn't going too badly.   We had rolling thunder and lightening storms all Sunday, which was pretty cool, for the most part.  Had lunch with my brother and his fiance, then went to Office Max and fell in love with a little Netbook. Guess what I'm getting before going to England?  ^_^

We then went to Best Buy and looked at all the neat gadgets.  Haven't spent a day with them in a long time, so it was nice just fooling around.

I stopped off briefly at home to feed the cats, then took off for their place to watch Paul.  Only when I stepped outside, it was like breathing in through an ashtray.  All the lightening was setting off brush fires, it's so dry around here.  It was so hazy it felt like trying to wade through a thick fog.

When I got to their place we started to watch the movies, but they were both worried as their dogs had managed to get out.  Their ranch is in the middle of nowhere, and the last time their dogs got out they were attacked by coyotes and nearly killed, so it was understandable. One of them finally showed up about 20 minutes into the movie, but the other, who is older and less quick, didn't.  We waited another half hour before heading out to search.

It was a bit like a reverse Hound of the Baskervielles.  The lightening was still flashing right over head with thunder crashing down and then it started to rain.  We spent about an hour, maybe a bit more, searching the fields, but it was pitch dark except the lightening and we only had flashlights.

We finally settled down to watch the rest of the movie and then I headed back home.  Got a call yesterday morning that the dog finally showed up about 10am, without a scratch. Whew.

I didn't get anything done this weekend, though.  Except a bit of the shopping. I really need to clean the flat, but work has been crazy and I've been working 10, 11, and 12 hour days. Ugh!

So, yeah. That was my weekend.  Today is my Monday and already I can tell it's going to be a long week.  More on that later.

Take care, everyone.

Thank you! It was very scary, like a bad horror movie, but thankfully everything turned out all right. Phew!
