Date: 2011-09-27 06:37 pm (UTC)I've never sold my crafty art, but I made a big collage for church last year as part of a special Easter art display. I like making collage as art to decorate my own house. =)

Date: 2011-09-27 10:23 pm (UTC)I usually have multiple projects going on at one time; I'd never manage on only one at a time.
I often make my crafts as gifts; it's no fun not to share.
I don't usually have time to craft in the mornings, but the rest of it, yeah. And the nifty thing about the DMS articles I'm writing is that sometimes I get to try out a craft idea for an article and then get paid for it. Of course, I can't do any of that at work now because I'm on my feet waiting on customers.
The best thing of all was when I worked at Michael's. Poor me! *grin* I had to spend my time making samples of crafts or demonstrating them at the front of the store or trying out new products the vendors sent us. *sigh* What a fate, being paid to craft! I miss that particular job!!

Date: 2011-09-28 10:35 pm (UTC)But when I worked at Michaels I learned a ton of new crafts, because as event coordinator, it was my responsibility to make the sample crafts for the store, to demonstrate new crafts when new products came in, to teach the weekly kid's craft project we had, and so forth. I worked there for six years and learned LOTS! I don't think I tried anything I didn't enjoy!
