It's been a busy past week!  I had a drum circle on Thursday, and then the local sci fi con over the weekend.  I had a blast dancing and dressing up and seeing friends I haven't seen since last year.  Also, I got a corset!  I've been wanting one for a while, and I found a gorgeous black one that laces up the front. I'll have to get a picture of me in it to show you all.

This week I've started a gluten free diet, doctor's orders.  They want to see if I'm gluten intolerant.   I can tell you right now, though, that even if I am, I'm out of luck, because there's a lot of stuff I'm not gonna give up.  It's going to be hard enough the next two weeks, I don't think I could live like this on a regular basis.

I have found some great recipes, and my local store has a pretty big selection of gluten free products.  But they're very expensive, and a lot of the stuff I've purchased, such as gluten free waffles and pizza crust, crumble and taste weird.  I don't know.

Anyway, besides that, not much is going on. I got new windshield wipers on my car, and changed my oil yesterday, so that's taken care of.  Also, have payed off most of my bills, so operation be ready to quit in May is on course.  Here's hoping for the job hunt to follow.

Squee! I'm glad you still enjoy it. I'm trying to write a sequel, so hopefully there may be more.

I always keep a box of Corn Chex in the cupboard for breakfast when my gluten-free niece visits. Hopefully the varieties of gluten-free foods will grow and get more yummy as time goes on.

I've found some recipes that look pretty good, and I'm trying to replace regular flower with potato, rice or flax. It's hard, though. I had never realized just how much wheat was in everything.

*Hugs*

I have a friend who found out she was gluten intolerant maybe a year ago. She's been doing a lot of research into gluten free recipes and has come up with a lot of really great and tasty stuff that isn't as expensive as the Gluten Free stuff in the stores. If you want, I'll ask her to forward some of the recipes.

Heee! I'm glad you still enjoy it! I'm hoping to get more done on the sequel soon, but my muse is a fickle thing.

I hope you're feeling better soon!
