Last night there was an epic thunderstorm.  It started, of course, about 15 minutes before I had to go to bed, and scared the cats so bad they both darted about like the hounds of hell were after them. They ended up in the closet, but after I kicked them out ( I can't sleep with the door open, even a little.  The monsters will get me.)  Colonel ended up in the kitchen cupboard and Rodney under the bed.

The thunder was so loud the pictures on the walls rattled, and the lightening was almost literally right overhead. It was epic!  And then it started to pour.  I was a bit afraid the parking lot would flood.  Last time it rained like that the parking lot was nearly knee deep. But this morning it was just damp with some puddles.

Started my earlier shift today.  A bit odd, getting up at 5:45 instead of 8, and with the storm and scaredy cats I didn't get much sleep. Still, I'm off at 7, and then two days off.  Yay!  I can't wait to go home and go to bed!

So... How's the weather where you all are at?

Pippin would have been terrified! She hates thunder. Glad you're not flooded out today.

We're having warm-but-not-hot weather, but very high humidity so it seems rather tropical out there. My hair is poufing and frizzing in unspeakable ways. :)

Oh, the humidity! It's very strange where I live to have such high humidity, and my hair looks like I rubbed a balloon over it, lol.

The storm was amazing, but we don't get too many, so the cats were completely freaking out. I felt bad for them, they were so scared.

It is the classic NYC hazy, hot, and humid--it's still 88F, I may actually have to sleep with the a.c. going which I hate (because the condenser wakes me up a little every time it kicks in) so almost never do. But we're supposed to get some of those epic thunderstorms tomorrow or tomorrow night, which might help!

Here's hoping the earlier shift proves to your liking for as long as you're on it!

It's been hot in the Bay Area for weeks... this morning is was nice and overcast and I was able to let some cool air in the window. We're heading to the coast tomorrow... Santa Cruz should be nice and overcast most of the day - 61 is the high. It got up to 80 in the house today which is too hot for this Californian.
