I think this weekend is cursed

So.  This weekend has been a mix of wonderful and OMG, what God did we piss off? 

Apparently, about 1am, my car horn started blaring.  My mom couldn't get it off, and the neighbor called the police. They came and were very nice to my mom, and helped her disconnect the fuse to the horn. 

When I woke up, my  brother's fiance was calling to tell me that my sister had a massive migraine and wasn't able to go to church with me as we had planned.  And that the family BBQ was cancelled, due to my cousin getting drunk, taking my other cousin's car out for a ride, totaling it, and breaking his leg. 

Yeah. 

Family BBQ and reunion has been cancelled, and I'm waiting to hear if Jerry is still in hospital or has been released.  Also, if he'll be able to fly home tomorrow, which was the plan, or if they have to postpone and for how long.  My other cousins are staying at least until tomorrow, so I may be able to see them again. 

I'm doing my laundry right now, and will vacuum and clean the cats' water bowl later.  Then I'm going to pack for Boston, as I don't know how much time I'll have later on.  I can at least get all my clothes sorted, and just do the last minute stuff the night before. 

Then, possibly, I may collapse and take a nap for a while.  It depends on what else is happening. 

I don't even want to think about tomorrow and work, dealing with the insurance company to find out about towing, and getting my car to someplace that can look at it. 

I think I need a longer weekend.  Or perhaps to encase my family in bubbles.

Holy smokes, I don't blame you for collapsing! That's a lot of craziness all at once.

It was exhausting, lol. I keep telling myself I only have a week left until my vacation, where I can sleep all I want. But for now, I'm trying to squeeze in as much stuff with my sister as I can, and running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

It was certainly an interesting weekend. Last we heard the cousin is being kept sedated, because they're afraid of him having a flashback to when he was in the explosion in Afghanistan. They don't want to scare him.

Hopefully, though, they'll be able to wake him soon and he'll be all right. Fingers crossed!

Agreed. Parallel worlds DO exist. Welcome to your 'irreal life'... *rolls eyes* One can only hope.
