Waiting, waiting...

So my real estate agent called me this morning and said the sellers of the house were willing to let me start moving in today... If I paid nearly $200 in "rent"  for the privilege of getting the keys three days early.  I told her to tell them thanks, but no thanks.  And then we both called them greedy assholes and wished them on their way so Karma can deal with them.

So now it looks like I'll be moving in on Near Years day.  Which isn't horrible, but not exactly how I want to spend my new years.  Still... it could be worse.  I just have to set up the appointment to have the cable switched over and then I should be good to go.

I packed some more today, and am whittling things down.  Now I have the odds and ends to take care of.  Plus, I need more boxes.  I know for a fact I didn't have this much stuff when I moved.  Wow, I have a lot of stuff.

OK, I'm off for dinner at my mom's and then back to the flat to relax and play a game for a while.  I can't really do much else until I get more boxes, except clean, and there's only so much I can do with the current boxes and furniture stacked everywhere.

I thought I had collected so many boxes! until I realized I didn't have nearly enough. Glad you at least have a set day to schedule the move, cable, etc.

I thought I had more than enough until I ran out and still had two rooms to do! Now I keep thinking, I can't need that many more, right? And look around and then think, hmm, I should double what I asked for.

So many boxes.

I am actually kind of grateful the moving date keeps getting pushed back, as it has given me time to really box everything up and not feel panicked. Hopefully I'll have the last of it all done and ready to go tomorrow or Monday. Moving is exhausting!

Moving is a bit nightmarish--sort of like the sorcerer's apprentice, only with boxes! Nice to think that the former owners did you a favor by being pigs, in the end. :)
