5 Things You May Not Know About My Time in School
1. I went to a community college for two years full time, then a year as only a part-time student, working full time.
2. I had to stop going to school when I got a new job that required I work 12 hour days.
3. I still have yet to get my Bachelors, though while in the Army I plan on trying to take some classes, as I am only 40 credits shy of my goal and it is free while I'm in.
4. I plan on going back to school when I get out, with the help of the Montgomery GI Bill, and get my bachelors in English.
5. My favorite classes are history, English, and Psychology.
5 Things You May Not Know About The Jobs I Have Had
1. My fist job, besides babysitting, was as a dishwasher at a retirement home.
2. My second real job was nearly 4 years later, at the age of 18, as a secretary to a blind engineer at the Hanford Nuclear Power Plant. I learned a lot about computers that I have mostely forgot.
3. I held several jobs after that, including working at a bookstore, which I loved, Circiut City, which I hated, Moneytree, which I also hated, and as a telemarketer, which was just plain evil.
4. Ever since I joined the Army, I have discovered that, 1) it is possible to sleep standing up when you are tired enough. And 2) After 3 days without a shower, everyone smells the same.
5. I have also learned that I can do things I never thought I could, so long as nobody lets me quit on myself.
5 Things you May Not Know About My Online Life
1. I spend waaayyy too much time on the computer.
2. I can usually be found cruzing the internet for fanfiction of all differnet types at 2 in the morning.
3. Most of my friends are online. Sad, isn't it? There just aren't people around here for me to identify with.
4. My conversations with my fiance are all online.
5. The first thing I do in the morning is check my email.

1. The tarantulas are bigger than my hand during mating season.
2. I hate spiders, bugs, and things that squeek without provocation. Which sucks, because there are a lot of those around.
3. It was 80 degrees last Christmas.
4. There is a monsoon season in AZ. I didn't believe it either until it started to rain every day.
5. Havalinas will chase you without provocation.

1. I am actually very shy.
2. I hate confrontation, but push me far enough, and I have no problem fighting.
3. I am not a morning person. By any stretch of the imagination. Breakfast should not be a part of my vocabulary, but unfortunately, the Army has different ideas.
4. I love to read, almost to the exclusion of everything else.
5. I am very cranky when I first get up in the morning.
5 Things You May Not Know I Would Really Like to Have Are
1. Enough money to buy a house.
2. A new computer.
3. Time with my fiance.
4. My own webpage.

1. I have written Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fanfiction.
2. I have written X-Men fanfiction.
3. I have about 15 stories I am working on at the moment, and haven't touched them in about a month.
4. I love to read Merry/Pippin slash, though my own foray into that area I think was a one-time thing.
5. I hate Merry/Estella and Pippin/Diamond stories. Don't know why, just can't stand them usually.

Date: 2004-09-17 07:17 am (UTC)Those are words of wisdom. Oh, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? I'm too many years beyond that fandom (as in, I didn't know what a fandom was when I was into them), but I loved the Turtles as a kid. And I was way too old to be loving the Turtles, even at that time.
