I know it's a few days early, but I don't think that people should confine their thoughts of thanks to our veterans and those we have lost to just one day. I am posting this link to a song written in thanks to our World War 2 veterans. I hope you give it a listen. Its not very long, its free, and above all else, it says thanks for everything you have done.
For those of you have been on my friends list the past couple of years, you know how seriously I take Memorial and Veterans Day.
I hope that all of us, no matter where we are in this world, will bow our heads for a moment and give a silent thank you to everyone who has placed their life on the line for your country and liberty.
Hugs!

Thank you dear, for posting and for your reasons for doing so. By some coincidence, I found myself watching a West Wing episode last night that I had on tape, that ends with a funeral for a homeless veteran (someone arranges for a full honor guard, etc.). Ended up crying a bit, and thinking how lucky the people I've loved who've ended up in the military during times of war were, to come back, and how much they risked.
