I am ever so thankful that I got into the habbit of shaking my towels out after a bath in Korea. I do it now without thinking.
Just got out of the bathtub, grabbed a towel, shook it, and a giant, and I mean huge, spider went sailing across the room. Shudder. Oh, yes. Korea, thank you!

Date: 2004-05-05 12:16 pm (UTC)After Korea, though, I am used to large insects hiding in my linen. There were these horrible green and gold spiders that were everywhere! And cockroaches, and flying things I never did learn the name of. Like I said, I became very cautios about towels after finding a bug in my hair one time. THAT scared me for a quite a while.

Re: Spiders
Date: 2004-05-05 08:33 pm (UTC)As for that tale, there are all these horrendous bugs in Korea, such as cockroaches, giant green/gold spiders and some kind of flying bug that is absolutely horrid! Well, I made the mistake of not shaking out my towel one day and ended up with a bug in my hair. I'm not sure what type, as I ran around screaming at the top of my lungs for quite a while, and by the time my roomate managed to get it out of my hair, it was quite unrecognisable. We both spent a good deal of time stomping it. So, lesson learned.
(worms? shudder)

Date: 2004-05-05 09:40 pm (UTC)When I would stay at my fiance's in Korea, every time it rained worms would crawl down the walls and over the bathroom tiles. And these were huge monsters, too. I think it must be a univesal creapiness thing, they must have unions or something.
Congrats on throwing the toy! Hey, whatever works to squash the buggers, that what I say!
Isn't funny, like Boromir said, how something so small can be the root of all evil?
Re: Spiders
Date: 2004-05-05 09:42 pm (UTC)Yes, we should gather all of the wroms up and toss them into mount doom!!! That would do them justice. Muhahahhahah!! No more bees, worms, spiders, worms, leeches, worms, ticks.
But then again...no more ladybugs or butterflies....let's get rid of the moths in their stead!
