Falling in love... with a house
Jun. 11th, 2013 10:18 pmJust a quick update.
I went looking at three houses today with my mom and her best friend. The first house was nice, but it was older, and it would require a lot of work. New paint, carpets, that kind of thing. Still, it was a lovely house, and was within my price range.
The second house I didn't really like. It was bigger, but the layout just wasn't for me, so I've pretty much dismissed that.
The third house. Oh, the third house. I think I'm in love.
It's beautiful. It has a lovely little back yard, with a pergola and some trees. It has a picnic bench under a tree, and a large shed. A covered carport, and is fenced in. It's central heat and air, with hardwood floors. There was a jacuzzi bath. It's two bedrooms, with a huge kitchen and bright, open rooms. I loved it.
I talked to the loan person today, after we saw the house, and although I'm qualified for the loan, the payments would be about 850 a month. I'm not sure I can swing that. My disability is only 570, and I want the payments to be something I can manage if anything happens and I lose my job. I'm torn.
I'm going to look into this a bit more, and cross my fingers that something will come up. If I don't get it I won't be devastated, but oh, I love that house.
