Hello!  *Waves*

I have a quick question.  I don't really know what to wear on the airplane over to England.  I was thinking jeans and a long sleeved shirt, with a jacket just in case, but I'm not sure.  Any suggestions?  I'm still debating bringing my cane, but I think that may just be stubbornness on my part.  I know that I always have trouble after sitting still for a long period, even if it's just at the movie theater, but I hate walking with it!  Plus, I'm going to basically have to RUN to catch my connect to London from New York, since my flight lands at 9:45 and my connect departs at 10:30. MEEP!  Cutting it kind of close, airlines!

Anyway, taking all that into account, I don't want to look like a typical American yokal when I arrive in London, so any suggestions?

This is my wardrobe that I'm bringing so far, by the way:

Two sweaters
Two dresses, both light cotton and spring-ish
A skirt
Two tank tops
One blouse
One pair jeans
A black, very warm hoodie that's more dressier than it sounds

And of course underwear, socks and three pairs of shoes.  *looks shifty*  What?  I have boots with a 3 inch heel, a pair of black flats, and a pair of trainers for regular walking around.  I'm going to wear my brown flats on the plane, since I can slip those off and on easier than my trainers.  And yes, I must have one black and one brown pair.

Sooo.... Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Just a suggestion -- if you have only 45 minutes to
catch a connecting flight to London, be prepared
to miss it. I'm not saying that you will, but the
majority of flights now are running late, especially
in and out of major airports. If it happens, don't
panic -- everyone else is in the same boat. I've
flown that route a lot and connecting is always the
place most likely to screw up. Also, if you are checking
your bag, keep soemthing to wear WITH you, as well as
anything else you can't live without. The last time
I went through JFK I didn't see my suitcase for five
days. Forewarned is forearmed.

Just to add --

England is cold this time of year -- cold and wet. Have
shoes and/or boots that are comfortable and can take
a soaking. Layer your clothes -- many places are not
heated and there's a reason the British live in their
tweeds!

Thank you! I am definitley rearanging what I packed so I can keep one outift in my carry on, and have all my meds and can't-live-withouts in the carry on, too. I hope I don't miss the flight, but if I do, I hopefully won't be thrown too much!

Wish me luck to connect on time and that my luggage arrives safely with me, lol!
