...because really, I'm kind of tired of feeling like the universe is laughing at me.

I just found out I'm almost 300$ in the hole.  This is the first time in almost a year that I have been in the hole, and I had hoped to never be here again.  Apparently the bank rearranged my charges so that what would have been a 30$ debt, which I was willing to pay, turned into this huge sucking hole.

I get paid next Friday, which means I just have to hold out until then. No groceries, no going anywhere but work because I can't afford gas, and no talking on the phone unless I have to because I use pay as you go.  I do not want to be here again.

And yes, I know it's my fault for willing to go into debt a little so I could pay my student loan on time, but for fuck's sake.  300$!!!!!

Thank God I'm working 9 hours overtime this week.

Banks and credit card companies make most of their money off of fees and charges-- it's really sick the way they can do that!

Yeah. It just makes me so mad, because if they hadn't rearranged the charges I would be all right. But now... That hole just looks deeper and deeper the more I look at it.

Sorry, sweetie. I know the feeling. We had a week or two between when my summer school job ended and the paycheque went in (followed by fees for daughter's tutoring and medical bills for me)...we had to get really creative for gas and food there for a few days. Not fun.

Yeah, it's never easy. Whoever said money can't make you happy never had to deal with student loans, utilities, insurance and rent. At least I have a steady paycheck and a boyfriend willing to buy me cheesecake when the going gets too rough!

Oh man. Is this like my overdraft charge thing, where I could go to the bank, point to the fact that I never bounce checks, and get the charges forgiven? My bank did that for me once.

I wish it were. Unfortunately, for a while I was living in the hole. I went under about 500 and it was a never ending cycle while I was in school. I only just crawled out around November last year, and have been trying very hard to keep out of it. But I took bereavement leave for a day when my Grampa died to help my mom, and since I'm only seasonal I didn't get paid for it. I hope that if I'm really good, don't buy groceries or spend any money other than on bills and gas next paycheck, I'll be all right. I just have to keep reminding myself that it will get better.

That's such shocking news for you. I know how hard you've been working to keep everything going smoothly.
